As the Inernet became a daily part of business and the use increased, search engines were developed. On any day half of the people that go online use search engines. Today there are many search engines, but Google is the most popular. Google is known for providing comprehensive web pages and the most relevant information. Until 2004 Yahoo! was the largest search engine. AskJeeves is a “natural language” search engine which alows the person to ask questions.
A Web Directory is another search tool. Once websites have submitted all of their information, and editor will place the web page under more specific categories. This allows users to search easier by just entering in keywords or phrases on what they are looking for. There are 5 types of directories. Human Edited, User Catagorized, User Classified, Independently Classified, and Pay Per Click (PPC). Today, DMOZ and Yahoo! are the largest directories.

Today, Americans are the majority of web publishers and surfers. That is expected to change in the future as more Europeans, Asians, and others use the Web. When building web sites or creating an online store it is vital to think globally.
I thought that this was very interesting. I did not know that there were that many European and Asian web publishers.

Quello si pensa che cambi in avvenire mentre più Europei, asiatici ed altri usano il fotoricettore. Nel costruire i luoghi di fotoricettore o generando un deposito in linea è vitale da pensare globalmente. Ho pensato che questo fosse molto interessante. Non ho saputo che ci era che molti editori europei ed asiatici di fotoricettore.
